Accessible Materials

Base Camp and Pathways are accessible via assistive technology. From the content of your paths to the navigation of the platform, the new system is compatible with a screen reader.

To purchase a path, contact the Supply Orders Team at supplyorders@toastmasters.org or +1 720-439-5050. Once you have purchased your path, you can access Base Camp using the "Go To Base Camp" card on My Home.


  1. Do I have access to Base Camp if I am visually impaired?

    Yes. All members have access to Base Camp and the Base Camp system is accessible. To access Base Camp, login to the Toastmasters website and select "Go To Base Camp" from My Home.


  2. I did not indicate that I require accessible materials on my membership application. How do I get access to accessible Pathways content?

    All six paths available for purchase are accessible in Base Camp. To select a path, contact supplyorders@toastmasters.org or +1 720-439-5050. A staff member can assist you with changing your Toastmasters record and ordering your path.


  3. My path is not accessible in Base Camp. Why is this and what options do I have?

    The Board of Directors decided that five paths would no longer be available for purchase with the launch of the new Base Camp. These paths are available on Base Camp to members who purchased them before the transition. However, they are not optimized for assistive technology. If you are working in one of the paths listed here, contact educationprogram@toastmasters.org or +1 720-439-5050 to learn what options are available to you.

  4. I am the Vice President Education of my club and require accessible materials. Can I complete my responsibilities on Base Camp, such as approving levels?

    Yes. All areas of Base Camp were built to be accessible and have been tested with screen readers. This includes the Base Camp manager dashboard, where you can review and approve pending requests and view member progress.


  5. I am able to navigate projects with a screen reader but there are a few project interactions that require extra steps or do not have optimized navigation. Will these be addressed?

    We are aware of a few bugs related to accessibility and screen reader navigation. These are on the list for enhancements and updates as soon as possible and we expect you’ll notice improvements in the system soon.   6. When I select electives at Levels 3, 4, or 5 in my path, there is no confirmation that my selection was saved and no clear instructions to go to the side menu to access projects I selected. Will this be updated?

    This is one of the bugs we are working to address. In the meantime, please do be aware that there is no confirmation once you select save, but this does not mean your elective selections were not saved. To access your chosen electives, navigate to the main menu and use the links there to find the level and projects you selected to work in.
